This article provides five workouts to help improve speed for ultimate frisbee players. These exercises—lateral shuffles, short sprints, dot drills, long sprints, and side shuffles—not only target speed, but also agility and reaction time. All of these drills can be completed with very minimal space and equipment, and are great for quick and effective warm-ups before a practice or game. Each exercise is explained in detail, so that even those unfamiliar with conditioning can understand how to properly execute the movements.
