Description
This article explains the cyclone pivot action, a move used in Ultimate Frisbee. The cyclone pivot action helps the player build momentum as well as keep the disc in their possession. The cyclone pivot action starts with the player keeping the disc close to their body. The player then plants their foot and twists their body so that it is facing in the opposite direction. The momentum created from this twist is used to quickly swing their arms in the opposite direction to help them turn and keep the disc in their possession. This can be used in any situation, including when trying to make a cut, when trying to change their current direction of travel, or even when trying to maintain possession of the disc.
