Taylor Pope
Taylor Pope currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina working at Sports and More Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist. He has played for Raleigh's "Ring of Fire" for 8 years, each of those culminating in a trip to Nationals in Sarasota. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2002 with a degree in journalism and photography where he was an original member of the OWU "Firedogs". During the infamous fall of 2001, he was actually living in Manhattan, NY working as a photo intern for the Village Voice where he got his club teeth cut on start up team "Mandible" which the next year became "The Brooklyn Knights", a team he also played for. In 2003 before moving to Raleigh, he assisted in the execution of High Tide in Savannah, Georgia. He has since played in the Major League Ultimate experiment at Potlatch in 2006 and The College Alumni Showcase at Nationals in 2009. In his younger days on Ring he developed a reputation for gritty and, at times, overly physical defensive play, guarding the opponents big men and deep weapons, but has since matured into more of an offensive player and handler. In a time with so much championship chasing and team hopping, he is a strong believer in tenure and player development within his own family, Ring of Fire.
