John Sandahl
John Sandahl started playing ultimate as a teen at a summer camp held on the St. Olaf Campus in southern minnesota. From there he was hooked and ultimate has continued to be a fixture in his life ever since. He played 7 seasons for Sub Zero (01-07) in Minnesota as well as a year of competitive no-practice mixed (the short lived Peppermint Bon Bon 08) and currently plays for the Minnesota Masters team Surly (09-current). John began coaching ultimate with the Minneapolis South High school team (Squall - Open and Girls) in 2002 after an injury forced him to sit out for a spring season and he has coached this team ever since. He's also coached with Team USA junior girls squads in 2004,2008 and 2010. He's been a USA ultimate Level 1 and Level 2 instructor since the programs inceptions and is proud to say that he's got many alumnus of his high school team coaching in the Minnesota High School league now.
